JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) -Taurean Rhetta scored on a pass from Cedric Johnson with less than two minutes to go to lead Jacksonville State to a 27-24 win over Tennessee-Martin on Thursday night.
The Gamecocks (3-3, 2-1 Ohio Valley Conference) led 17-10 after three quarters.
The Skyhawks (0-6, 0-2 OVC) tied the score at 17 early in the final period, and Jessie Burton scored on an 85-yard pass from Dexter Anoka with 8:25 remaining to give Tennessee-Martin a 24-20 lead.
Johnson passed for 227 yards and one touchdown and also scored another touchdown for the Gamecocks.
Anoka passed for 226 yards, and hit Burton for four catches for 192 yards and two touchdowns.
