Purdue receiver arrested
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -Purdue wide receiver Selwyn Lymon was arrested and charged with drunken driving and resisting arrest.
Lymon was being held without bond at Tippecanoe County Jail on Monday following his Sunday morning arrest in West Lafayette. Police say he had a blood-alcohol content of .15 percent, nearly double the state’s legal limit.
Coach Joe Tiller will comment on Lymon later Monday, assistant athletic director Tom Schott said. The Associated Press left a phone message with the player’s lawyer.
Lymon also was charged from a fight outside a West Lafayette nightclub March 20 when he was stabbed in the chest.
The junior caught three passes for 35 yards Saturday during Purdue’s 27-24 loss at Indiana.
