DURHAM, N.C. (AP) – Stadford Brown passed for two touchdowns to guide N.C. Central to a 17-0 win over Fayetteville State on Sunday.
Brown connected with Will Scott on passes of 6 yards and 15 yards in the second quarter to give the Eagles (1-1) a 14-0 lead. Brandon Gilbert added the final points on a 22-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
Central gained 154 yards on the ground and 142 in the air, while the Broncos (0-2) managed only 92 yards rushing and 127 passing.
