Unbeaten teams among the stingiest

(STATS) – Points allowed is the most telling stat of the FCS weekend, if not the entire season.
The four unbeaten teams in the FCS are among the top five in scoring defense – Colgate (4-0), allowing only 5 points per game; Princeton (3-0), 8.7; No. 1-ranked North Dakota State (4-0), 9.3; and Dartmouth (3-0), 9.3. The one exception isn’t too shabby, either: second-ranked James Madison, which also is No. 2 in allowing 8.2 points per game.
James Madison, whose only loss is to ACC member North Carolina State, and Colgate have posted two shutouts each.
