Ravens vs. Chargers Week 12 Odds
SAN DIEGO, CA (The Spread) – Two teams heading in opposite directions will square off in San Diego this Sunday when the Chargers host the Ravens at 4:05PM ET.
BALTIMORE: The Ravens scooped up their third win in a row last Sunday when they beat the Steelers 13-10 as a 3-point road favorite. The victory allowed Baltimore to build a two-game lead in the AFC North over Pittsburgh, as the Ravens are now sitting at 8-2 on the year and 4-5-1 against the spread. While the over is 6-4 in the Ravens’ 10 games this season, the under has hit in two of their last three games. Ray Rice leads the team with 697 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns.
SAN DIEGO: Following their 30-23 loss to the Broncos last Sunday in Denver, the Chargers are now 4-6 on the year and 5-5 against the spread. They’ve lost two in a row and five of their last six games, with their only victory coming against the lowly Chiefs over that span. The Bolts did cover the spread versus Denver, and they’ve now covered the number in two of their last three games. Still, that’s about the only good thing you can say about a San Diego team that is once again unlikely to make the postseason. Quarterback Philip Rivers continues to struggle with turnovers and the defense has now allowed the opposition to score at least 30 points in their last two games.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Chargers are 1-point favorites over the Ravens, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 47 points. Baltimore is 8-2 on the year and 3-2 on the road, while San Diego enters this game with a 4-6 record overall and 2-2 at home.
TRENDS: The home team is 7-2 against the spread in the last nine meetings between these two teams, while the Ravens are just 2-5 against the number in their last seven trips to San Diego.
