Eagles vs. Cardinals Week 3 Odds
PHOENIX, AZ (The Spread) – The surprising 2-0 Cardinals will host another undefeated team when they host the Eagles at 4:05PM ET.
PHILADELPHIA: For the second week in a row the Eagles managed to grab victory out of the jaws of defeat. Thanks to Michael Vick’s late touchdown run the Eagles were able to knock off the Ravens 24-23 as a 3-point home favorite and improved to 2-0 on the year. Vick completed 23-of-32 passes for 371 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. LeSean McCoy chipped in 81 yards on 21 carries and a touchdown, while tight end Brent Celek led all receiving with eight catches for 157 yards. (DeSean Jackson also had a nice day with seven catches for 114 yards.) Even though the Eagles are 2-0 on the season they failed to cover the spread in back-to-back weeks.
ARIZONA: The Cardinals shocked the NFL world last week by beating the Patriots 20-18 as a 13.5-point underdog. Kevin Kolb threw for just 140 yards on 15-0f-27 passing with one touchdown and no interceptions. The running game for Arizona didn’t fare much better as Beanie Wells was held to 44 yards on 14 carries. The Cardinals failed to accumulate more first downs than New England, lost the turnover and time of possession battle, and didn’t rack up as many total yards. Yet somehow they held on to the victory and are now 2-0 heading into this week’s action.
