According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Flacco has been given over/under odds of 275.5 passing yards and 1.5 touchdown passes for Sunday’s AFC Championship Game against the New England Patriots.
Flacco had an average regular season. He threw for 3,817 yards and 22 touchdowns. That works out to an average of 238.6 yards and 1.38 touchdown passes per game. He has been a much stronger quarterback during the playoffs, throwing for 613 yards and five touchdowns over two games. Flacco has had at least two touchdown passes in eight of his 18 games this season. He has also had at least 276 passing yards in eight of his 18 games.
The Patriots have not been a tremendous passing defense. In the regular season, New England gave up an average of 271.4 passing yards per game, which was the fourth-most of any team in the league. New England also allowed a total of 27 passing touchdowns during the season, which was 11th-most allowed in the NFL. In last week’s win over the Texans, the Patriots allowed Matt Schaub to throw for 343 yards and two touchdowns against them.
