The over/under total for the game has been set at 46 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the game as even. The spread slowly moved to the Giants -1. The over/under total opened at 46.5 points and fell to 45.5 before climbing up to 46.
The Giants are coming off a 24-21 loss to the Cowboys at home. The loss last week snapped a four-game winning streak. New York is now posting 313.9 yards per game on offense while the defense is giving up 333.8 yards per game. Eli Manning has thrown for 2,760 yards and 14 touchdowns passing, but also has 17 interceptions. Victor Cruz has caught 60 passes for 851 yards and four touchdowns while Antrel Rolle is leading the defense with 52 tackles, two sacks and five interceptions.
Washington is coming off a 27-6 loss to the 49ers for the Redskins’ third straight loss. The Washington offense has continued to struggle, despite averaging 392 yards per game. Robert Griffin III has not been consistent. He has thrown for 2,832 yards and 14 touchdowns, but also has 11 interceptions and five fumbles and has been sacked 28 times. Alfred Morris has rushed for 970 yards and five touchdowns to lead the offense. The defense also is struggling, giving up 382.1 yards per game. The defense is being led by DeAngelo Hall, who has 53 tackles, three interceptions and 10 pass deflections.
In terms of Injuries, Washington fullback Darrel Young (hamstring) and defensive back Jose Gumbs (ankle) are both questionable. New York cornerback Corey Webster (groin) and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) have both been rules out for the game.
