View Updated 2013 Super Bowl Odds
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, White has been given over/under odds of 79.5 receiving yards for the NFC Championship. He has also been given over/under odds of 5.5 receptions.
White had another strong season this year, catching 92 passes for 1,351 yards and seven touchdowns. That works out to an average of 84.4 yards and 5.75 receptions per game. In last week’s win over Seattle, White reeled in five receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. He was often paired up with Richard Sherman of Seattle, arguably the top cornerback in the NFL. White had at least 80 receiving yards in eight of the team’s 17 games and at least 6 receptions in nine of the 17 games. The key for White will be getting targets, since the Falcons also have Julio Jones to target. White averaged 8.9 targets per game during the regular season and he was targeted 10 times in the playoff game.
The San Francisco passing defense has been very strong this season, allowing just 200.2 yards per game through the air. That put San Francisco 4th in the NFL in terms of fewest yards allowed. However, in a similar aspect, the Seattle passing defense ranked sixth in the NFL, and Atlanta didn’t have too much trouble airing it out against them last Sunday.
