The over/under total opened at 43 points before falling back to 42.
The Raiders are coming off a 24-20 loss at the Giants last week. The Raiders have lost two straight entering this game, and have failed to score over 21 points in four straight games. Oakland is averaging just 330.8 yards per game on offense this season while allowing 345.5 yards per game on defense. Terrelle Pryor has thrown for 1,559 yards and five scored while rushing for 504 yards and two scores. However, Pryor has 10 interceptions and has been sacked 29 times this season. Rashad Jennings has provided a boost on offense, rushing for 330 yards and a score in recent starts.
Houston is coming off a 27-24 loss at Arizona last week, the third straight loss for the Texans by 3 points or less. Overall, Houston has lost seven straight since starting 2-0. The Texans have been decent on defense, allowing just 280 yards per game. Offensively, Houston is posting 376.3 yards per game. The issue, though, has been turnovers. Houston has 17 on the year, and the team just lost leading rusher Arian Foster for the rest of the season with a back injury. Case Keenum has thrown for 822 yards and seven touchdowns without an interception in recent starts and Andre Johnson has 62 catches for 850 yards and five scores, while J.J. Watt has 6.5 sacks and 42 tackles with four pass deflections.
In terms of Injuries, Houston tackle Andrew Gardner (knee) and cornerback Elbert Mack (hamstring) are both questionable for the game. Oakland tackle Jared Veldheer (tricep) and running back Darren McFadden (hamstring) are both questionable as well.
