DETROIT, MI (The Spread) – The Detroit Lions look to make some room atop the NFC North on Thursday when it hosts the Green Bay Packers at 12:30PM ET on FOX.
Detroit is 6-5 overall, 3-2 at home and 5-6 against the spread. Green Bay is 5-5-1 overall, 2-3 on the road and 5-6 against the spread. Green Bay has won five straight over the Lions.

The opening odds for this game had the Lions favored by 5.5 points. The spread climbed to 7 points before falling back to 5.5 and then climbing back up to 7. The over/under total opened at 50 points and was never higher than that before falling to 49.
The Lions had a chance to really create some space in the NFC North, but have lost back-to-back games to the Steelers and Tampa Bay. Last week, the Lions had five turnovers and lost 24-21 at home to Tampa. The Lions are now averaging 412.1 yards per game on offense while giving up 364.8 yards per game on defense. Matthew Stafford has thrown for 3,495 yards and 24 touchdowns, but has 12 interceptions, including four last week. Calvin Johnson now has 66 receptions for 1,198 yards and 11 touchdowns while Reggie Bush has 737 rushing yards with two scores.
The Packers are coming off a 26-26 tie with Minnesota last week. Green Bay is now 0-3-1 since Aaron Rodgers suffered his broken collarbone. Rodgers will miss today’s game, which opens the door for Matt Flynn to play. Flynn stepped in last week and threw for 218 yards and one touchdown. Flynn had a Packers’ record in his last start for Green Bay, which strangely came against Detroit. Eddie Lacy has rushed for 806 yards and six touchdowns for Green Bay while Jordy Nelson has 61 receptions for 947 yards and seven touchdowns.
In terms of Injuries, Detroit cornerback Chris Houston (hamstring) and defensive end Israel Idonije (knee) are questionable. Green bay tight end Brandon Bostick (concussion) is doubtful while linebacker Nick Perry (foot) is questionable.
