ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Browns are 5.5-point favorites over the Jaguars while the over/under total is currently sitting at 45 points. As of this writing, 78% of public bettors currently favor the Browns minus the points.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Browns opened as 3-point favorites but with the public’s backing, Cleveland is now a 5.5-point road favorite. The total, meanwhile, opened at 44 and has been bet up to 45 at most online and Vegas sports books.

SEASON RECORDS: The Browns are 3-2 on the year and an impressive 3-0-2 against the spread, while the Jaguars are 0-6 on the year and 1-5 at the betting window after producing a backdoor cover against the Titans last week. The over is a combined 8-3 in these two teams’ first 11 games in 2014.

NFL FREE PICK: Take Jacksonville. According to latest NFL trends, the Browns are 1-4-1 against the spread in their last six games versus a team with a losing record, 1-3-1 ATS in their last five games in Week 7 and 1-4 ATS in their last five games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game. There’s no question that the Browns are a better team but they appear to be overvalued following a couple of impressive performances. This is a classic letdown spot for a team that isn’t good enough to be a 5.5-point favorite on the road, no matter who the opponent might be. Take the points.
