The Saints are coming off a 28-10 win at Carolina last week. The Saints have now won two straight, both by double figures. San Francisco is coming off a surprising 13-10 loss at home to the Rams. The team was held to just 263 yards of offense and allowed eight sacks. The 49ers defense has been very strong, allowing just 291.9 yards per game this season. The unit also gets Aldon Smith back from suspension this week, which could make them even stronger. Offensively, the team is struggling, averaging just 345.6 yards per game. San Francisco has the 11th best running game in the NFL, averaging 119.5 yards per game on the ground. Colink Kaepernick has thrown for 1,956 yards and 12 touchdowns while rushing for 274 yards. Frank Gore has added 472 rushing yards. The defense is led by Perrish Cox, who has 21 tackles and four interceptions with 13 pass deflections.
In terms of Injuries, New Orleans running backs Pierre Thomas (ribs) and Khiry Robinson (forearm) are both questionable. San Francisco linebacker Patrick Willis (toe) and receiver Brandon Lloyd (hamstring) are also questionable.
