DETROIT, MI (The Spread) – The Detroit Lions are looking to stay atop the NFC North while the New Orleans Saints are looking to get over .500 when the two meet on Sunday at 1PM ET on FOX.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, Detroit is favored at home, as the Lions are getting odds of -3 points against the Saints. The over/under total has been set at 48.5 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had Detroit favored by 2.5 points. The spread held there most of the week before settling at 3. The over/under total opened at 52 points but slowly worked its way down all the way to 48.5.
Detroit is coming off a 17-3 win over the Vikings on the road. The Lions’ defense was the story, racking up eight sacks while forcing three turnovers and holding Minnesota to just 212 yards. Detroit now has 20 sacks on the season while holding opponents to 197.2 passing yards and 73.5 rushing yards per game. The Lions offense has been struggling, averaging just 330.1 yards per game while giving up 21 sacks. Matthew Stafford has thrown for 1,592 yards and seven touchdowns this year while Golden Tate has 38 receptions for 495 yards and one score. Leading the defense is DeAndre Levy, who has 58 tackles with 0.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss and an interception.
The Saints are coming off a 37-31 overtime win over Tampa Bay two weeks ago. The Saints are their usual self on offense, averaging 442 yards per game, but the defense is struggling, allowing 379.6 yards per contest. Drew Brees has thrown for 1,574 yards and nine touchdowns, but has six interceptions. Jimmy Graham has caught 34 passes for 376 yards and three scores, but he is questionable for the game with a shoulder injury.
In terms of Injuries, Detroit receiver Calvin Johnson (ankle) and running back Reggie Bush (ankle) are both questionable for the game. New Orleans running back Mark Ingram (hand) and center Jonathan Goodwin (knee) are also questionable.
