ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Packers are 7-point favorites over the Panthers, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 49 points. As of this writing, 55% of the betting public currently favors the Panthers plus the points.

LINE MOVEMENT: The Packers opened as 7-point favorites and that’s where the number currently sits at most online and Vegas sports books. As for the total, it opened at 49 and that number hasn’t budged either.

SEASON RECORDS: Carolina enters play with a 3-2 record and a solid 4-2 mark against the spread, while Green Bay is 4-2 and 3-2-1 at the betting window this season. The over is also a combined 9-3 in these teams’ 12 games in 2014.

NFL FREE PICK: Take Carolina. According to latest NFL trends, the underdog is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams while the road team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven meetings. The Panthers are also 10-3 against the number in their last 13 games versus NFC opponents, 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 games on grass and 5-0 ATS in their last five games in October. On the other side, the Packers are just 2-5-1 against the spread in their last eight home games and continue to have issues defensively. Travel might be a concern for the Panthers considering they’ll hit the road for the second straight week, but their defense is good enough to keep the game close and help cover the spread.
