Broncos vs. Chiefs Odds
The second week of the NFL season gets underway tonight when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos at 8:25PM ET on CBS and the NFL Network.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Kansas City is the slight favorite at home in this game, as the Chiefs are getting odds of -3 points against the Broncos. The over/under total for the game is set at 41.5 points. Denver has won six straight meetings with the Chiefs and the Broncos have covered the spread in four of their last five against KC. These two are 7-1-1 with the under in their last nine meetings.
Denver started the season with a 19-13 win at home over the Ravens, covering a 4.5-point spread but coming in well under the 46.5-point total. Despite getting the win, Denver had just 219 yards of offense. They were led by their defense, which held Baltimore to just 173 total yards. Peyton Manning went without a touchdown pass as he was 24 of 40 passing for 175 yards with one interceptions. The lone Denver touchdown came from an interception by Aqib Talib.
Kansas City is coming off a 27-20 win at Houston to open the season. The Chiefs were a 1-point favorite entering the game and they went over the 41-point total. KC got out to a 27-6 lead in the first half and held on from there. The Chiefs have 330 yards of offense in the win, but also allowed nearly 400 yards to the Texans. Alex Smith had 243 passing yards with three touchdowns, but none were to receivers. Travis Kelce caught six passes for 106 yards with two touchdowns while Jamaal Charles had 57 rushing yards and 46 receiving yards, including a touchdown catch.
