The third week of the NFL season closes out tonight when the Green Bay Packers host the Kansas City Chiefs at 8:30PM ET.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, Green Bay is the favorite in this game, as the Packers are getting odds of -5.5 points against the Chiefs. The over/under total for the game has been set at 48.5 points. Kansas City has won and covered the spread in six of its last seven meetings with Green Bay and the two have hit the over in four of their last five meetings.

Green Bay is 2-0 on the season, 2-0 against the spread and 1-1 with the over/under total. The Packers beat the Bears on the road, 31-23, in the season opener and then defeated the Seahawks, 27-17 at home, last week. Green Bay is posting 349 yards per game this season while allowing 369.5 yards per game. Despite the loss of Jordy Nelson in the preseason, Aaron Rodgers still looks sharp, connecting on 76 percent of his passes for 438 yards and five touchdowns. Eddie Lacy has rushed for just 94 yards in two games and has an ankle injury that has him questionable on the injury report, but he is expected to play. Julius Peppers is leading the defense with 2.5 sacks.

Kansas City is 1-1 on the season, 1-1 against the spread and 2-0 with the over. The Chiefs had a 27-20 win over Houston to start the year, but then had a devastating 31-24 loss to the Broncos last week. KC is putting up just 339 yards per game this season while allowing 374.5 yards per contest. Alex Smith has thrown for 434 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions while Travis Kelce has emerged as a strong TE. He has 10 catches for 164 yards with two touchdowns. Jamaal Charles has added 182 rushing yards. Justin Houston is leading the defense with three sacks.
