The fifth week of the NFL season concludes tonight when the San Diego Chargers host the Pittsburgh Steelers at 8:30PM ET on ESPN’s Monday Night Football.

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Chargers are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -3.5 points against the Steelers, while the over/under total for the game has been set at 46 points. The Steelers have won three of their last four against the Chargers, but San Diego is 3-2 against the spread in the last five meetings. These two have hit the over in three straight meetings.

San Diego is 2-2 on the season, 1-3 against the spread and 2-2 with the over. The Chargers are coming off a 30-27 win over the Browns at home to get to 2-2 on the season. San Diego is putting up 24 points and 430 yards per game on offense this year while the defense is allowing 27.5 points and 361 yards per game. Philip Rivers is leading the offense with 1,248 yards and eight touchdowns and four interceptions while Keenan Allen has 33 receptions for 387 yards and three touchdowns. Eric Weddle is leading the San Diego defense with 38 tackles and ½ a sack.

Pittsburgh is 2-2 on the season, 3-0-1 against the spread and 3-1 with the under. The Steelers are coming off a 23-20 loss to the Ravens in which they blew a late lead. The Steelers are putting up 24 points and 380 yards per game on offense, while the defense is allowing 18.8 points and 364.8 yards per game. Pittsburgh is in its second game without Ben Roethlisberger, who is dealing with a knee injury and is out indefinitely. Michael Vick got the start last week and wasn’t the real issue in the loss, but he ability to move certainly has deteriorated somewhat with age. Antonio Brown leads the offense with 478 receiving yards on 34 catches with two touchdowns. The defense is led by Stephon Tuitt, who has 22 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
