According to oddsmakers at GTBets, Green Bay is the favorite on the road in this game, as the Packers are getting odds of -6 points against the Bears. The over/under total for the game has been set at 50 points. The Packers are 13-3 against the spread in their last 16 trips to Chicago and the road team has covered in 4 of their last 5 meetings.

The Packers were 12-4 last season and ultimately lost in the NFC Championship Game to Seattle. Green Bay was 10-7-1 against the spread last season while going 12-6 with the over. Mike McCarthy is entering his 10th season as head coach of the Packers. He has led the team to four straight NFC North titles. This year’s team is one of the preseason favorites to win the Super Bowl, but suffered a big blow in the preseason when Jordy Nelson suffered an ACL tear to put an end to his season. Aaron Rodgers is coming off a 4,381-yard season with 38 touchdowns and just five interceptions. The loss of Nelson could hurt his numbers, but Eddie Lacy could take another step forward. He rushed for 1,139 yards and nine scores in his second year with the team.

The Bears were just 5-11 last season which resulted in the end of Marc Trestman era with the team. Chicago was 7-9 against the spread and the Bears were an even 8-8 with the total. John Fox takes over the team after spending the last four seasons with Denver. He takes over a team that needs quarterback Jay Cutler to play better. He had 3,812 yards with 28 touchdowns last season, but also had 18 interceptions and three fumbles. Cutler already has an uphill climb with the loss of first-round draft pick Kevin White to an injury for the season. Alshon Jeffery is also dealing with a minor calf injury heading into Sunday.
