NFL Week 6 Biggest Line Moves
What are the biggest line moves for Sunday’s action in the NFL? Let’s start off in Buffalo where the Bills host the unbeaten Bengals at 1:00PM ET.
Bengals at. Bills, 1:00PM ET
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Mybookie.ag, the Bills are now 3-point home underdogs versus the Bengals after opening as a 1-point favorite. Part of the reason for the line move is that Buffalo quarterback Tyrod Taylor is expected to miss the game, giving way to former first-round pick E.J. Manuel. Another reason for the line move is that 76% of public bettors like the undefeated Bengals, which pushed the number up to the key number of 3.
Patriots at. Colts, 8:30PM ET
Another heavy public play this week is New England, which is a 10-point road favorite versus Indianapolis in tonight’s rematch of last season’s AFC title game. The Patriots opened as a 7-point favorite but with 83% of the public backing the Pats, the line jumped three full points. Bettors are expecting that Tom Brady and Co. are seeking revenge on the Colts for the “Deflategate” fallout. It’s hard to argue with that narrative although that’s a huge number to hand to a home dog in a primetime game.
Texans at. Jaguars, 1:00PM ET
There won’t be much interest in this dud matchup but there has been significant movement. After the game opened as a pick’em, the line moved Jacksonville -2.5. Quarterback Blake Bortles’ status was uncertain earlier in the week but he’s expected to play.
Redskins at. Jets, 1:00PM ET
The Jets opened as a 5.5-point favorite but the sharps jumped on New York and pushed the number up to 7, which is where the side currently sits. The Jets are coming off their bye and while they lack offensive firepower, their defense should give Kirk Cousins and Co. fits. Washington, however, did cover as a 7.5-point road underdog last Sunday in Atlanta.
