Jets vs. Dolphins Odds
The NFL gets its first London action of the season this week when the Miami Jets host the New York Jets at 9:30AM ET from overseas.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, New York is favored in this game, as the Jets are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Dolphins. The over/under total for the game has been set at 41 points. The underdog is 4-1 against the spread in the last five games in this series and the Dolphins have failed to cover in six straight conference games.
New York is 2-1 on the season 2-1 against the spread and 2-1 with the under. The Jets have been led by a defense that is allowing just 13.7 points and 306.3 yards per game this season. The offense isn’t doing too bad, averaging 22.7 points and 336 yards per game. After a 2-0 start, the Jets lost 24-17 to the Eagles at home last week. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns in the win, but also had three interceptions. The run game struggled big time, posting just 47 yards on 16 carries as it was without Chris Ivory, who was injured. Muhammad Wilkerson led the defense with 11 tackles and 0.5 sacks, giving him 1.5 on the season.
Miami is 1-2 on the season, 1-2 against the spread and 2-1 with the over. The Dolphins haven’t been sharp thus far, averaging just 17 points per game while giving up 24.7 points and just under 400 yards per game on a defense that was expected to be one of the best in the league. Miami is coming off a 41-14 loss to Buffalo in its home opener last week. Ryan Tannehill has thrown for 882 yards and five touchdowns, but also has three interceptions. Miami’s run game is lacking big time as Lamar Miller is the leading rusher with just 105 yards. Ndamukong Suh was the big signing in the offseason, but he has just seven tackles on the season with no sacks.
