Buccaneers vs. Saints Odds
A pair of one-loss teams meet up on Sunday looking for their first win when the New Orleans Saints host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 1PM ET on FOX.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, the Saints are the clear favorite at home, as they are getting odds of -10 points against the Bucs on Sunday. The over/under total for the game is currently listed at 47 points. The Saints have won eight straight in this series, but the Bucs have covered the spread in three of their last four against New Orleans.
The Saints suffered a 31-19 loss on the road against the Cardinals last week. New Orleans was unable to cover the 2-point spread and it hit the over of 48.5 points. The Saints had 408 yards of offense in the loss, but allowed 427 yards to the Cardinals. Drew Brees had another strong day, as he threw for 355 yards and a touchdown, but New Orleans couldn’t establish a run game. The leading rusher was Mark Ingram, who had 24 yards on nine carries. He did have eight catches for 98 yards, however.
Tampa Bay got embarrassed in its opener, losing 42-14 at home to the Tennessee Titans. The Bucs were a 3-point favorite entering the game, but they did go over the total of 40.5 points. The game was highlighted as the battle of the No. 1 pick vs. the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft, but the top pick Jameis Winston struggled in his debut. Winston went 16 of 33 passing for 210 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions while Marcus Mariota was 13 of 16 passing for 209 yards and four touchdowns. The lone Buc with a solid day was Austin Seferian-Jenkins, who caught five passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
