The Green Bay Packers look to continue their dominant ways on Sunday when they host the San Diego Chargers at 4:25PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, Green Bay is the clear favorite at home, as the Packers are getting odds of -10.5 points against the Chargers on Sunday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 50.5 points. The Packers have won and covered the spread in six straight meetings with the Chargers and the two have hit the over in three straight meetings.
Green Bay is 5-0 on the season, 5-0 against the spread and 3-2 with the under. The Packers are coming off a 24-10 win over the Rams last week at home. Green Bay has won their last four games by double digits. The Pack is averaging 27.4 points and 363 yards per game right now on offense while allowing just 16.2 points and 316.4 yards per game on defense. Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 1,236 yards and 13 touchdowns with just two interceptions to lead the offense while Eddie Lacy has rushed for 257 yards and a score. The Green Bay defense is led by Clay Matthews, who has 19 tackles with 4.5 sacks and an interception.
San Diego is 2-3 overall, 1-4 against the spread and 3-2 with the under. The Chargers are coming off a 24-20 loss to the Steelers on Monday where they lost in the final second of the contest. The Chargers have now lost three of their last four. San Diego’s offense is averaging just 23.2 points per game despite ranking third in the NFL in total yards and 410 per game. The defense is allowing 26.8 points and 351.2 yards per game. Philip Rivers has thrown for 1,614 yards and 10 touchdowns to lead the offense while Melvin Gordon has rushed for 270 yards. Antonio Gates made his 2015 debut on Monday had caught nine passes for 92 yards and two scores, giving a big boost to the offense. The San Diego defense is led by Manti Te’o, who has 40 tackles.
