Ravens vs. Broncos Odds
One of the featured games on Sunday in the NFL has the Denver Broncos hosting the Baltimore Ravens at 4:25PM ET on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at GTBets, the Broncos are favored at home in this game, as they are getting odds of -4 points against the Ravens. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 48 points. The Ravens are 8-3 against the spread in their last 11 meetings with the Broncos while the two have hit the over in 4 straight meetings.
The Broncos were 12-4 last season, winning the AFC West, but the Broncos lost their playoff opener to the Colts. Denver was 8-9 against the spread last season while going 10-7 with the over. In somewhat of a surprising move, the Broncos cut ties with John Fox after the playoff loss and hired Gary Kubiak to replace him. Kubiak was head coach of Houston from 2006-13 and worked with John Elway during Elway’s playing days. Peyton Manning could be coming into his final season as he is battling some nagging injuries, but he threw for 4,727 yards and 39 touchdowns last season. Manning still has plenty of tools to work with in the pass game and Denver seems to have a steady back in C.J. Anderson, who rushed for 849 yards and eight scores, emerging late in 2014.
The Ravens went 10-6 last season and earned a Wild Card playoff spot. Baltimore then beat the Steelers in the playoffs before falling to New England. Baltimore was 9-8-1 against the spread in 2014 while going 9-8-1 with the under. John Harbaugh is coming into his eighth season with the Ravens. He is 72-40 in his time with Baltimore, making the playoffs in all but one season. The Ravens should continue to have a strong defense, which has been its staple in the franchise for years. Joe Flacco will look to improve on his numbers of 2014. He still was solid, throwing for 3,986 yards and 27 touchdowns, but some still question his ability to be elite. Baltimore comes into the year with a clear No. 1 running back in Justin Forsett, who rushed for 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns last season when he replaced Ray Rice.
