Dolphins vs. Titans Odds
Two struggling football teams meet up this Sunday at 1PM ET when the Tennessee Titans host the Miami Dolphins on CBS.
According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Titans are favored at home in this game, as they are getting odds of -1.5 points against the Dolphins. The over/under total for the game has been set at 43 points. The home team has won four of the last five in this series, but the road team is 3-1 against the spread in the last four in this series.
Tennessee is 1-3 on the season, 1-3 against the spread and 3-1 with the over. The Titans are coming off a 14-13 loss to the Bills at home last week. Tennessee has lost its last two games by a combined 3 points. The Titans are averaging 25.5 points and 350.8 yards per game on offense, while the defense is giving up 22.8 points per game despite allowing just 283.5 yards per game. The Titans have the NFL’s top-ranked passing defense, allowing just 166.5 yards per game through the air. Marcus Mariota has thrown for 1,020 yards and eight touchdowns in his rookie year while Kendall Wright has 16 receptions for 242 yards and two touchdowns. The defense is led by Derrick Morgan, who has 15 tackles and 4.5 sacks.
Miami is 1-3 on the season, 1-3 against the spread and 2-2 with the over/under total. The Dolphins are coming off a bye week, but they have lost three straight, including a 27-14 loss to the Jets in London that led to the firing of coach Joe Philbin. The Miami defense was expected to do big things this year with the addition of Ndamukong Suh, but Miami is giving up 25.2 points and 399.5 total yards per game this season. The Dolphins rank last in rushing defense, allowing 160.5 yards per game. The offense isn’t much better, averaging just 16.2 points and 314.8 yards per contest. Ryan Tannehill has thrown for 1,080 yards and seven touchdowns to lead the offense, but the leading rusher is Lamar Miller, who has just 131 yards in four games.
