According to oddsmakers at MyBookie, the Vikings are favored at home, as they are getting odds of -4 points against the Chiefs. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 44 points. Kansas City has won four of its last five against Minnesota and the Chiefs are 3-1-1 against the spread in those five games.

Minnesota is 2-2 on the season, 3-1 against the spread and 4-0 with the under. The Vikings are coming off a 23-20 loss at Denver prior to the bye week. Minnesota is now posting just 20 points and 330 yards per game on offense while allowing 18.2 points and 368.8 yards per game on defense. Adrian Peterson is leading the offense with 372 rushing yards and three touchdowns while Teddy Bridgewater has thrown for 774 yards and two touchdowns. The defense is led by Everson Griffen, who has 12 tackles and three sacks.

Kansas City is 1-4 on the season, 1-4 against the spread and 4-1 with the over. The Chiefs have lost four straight following an 18-17 loss to the Bears last Sunday. The loss to Chicago was even worse considering Jamaal Charles was lost for the season with a torn ACL. The Chiefs were averaging just 23.4 points and 368 yards per game with Charles, so that number could decline. On defense, KC is allowing 28.6 points and 397.8 yards per game. Alex Smith has thrown for 1,291 yards and five touchdowns to lead the offense while Jeremy Maclin has 36 catches for 483 yards and a touchdown. The defense is led by Justin Houston and Allen Bailey, who each have three sacks.
