Steelers Season Win Total Prediction

After winning double-digit games for three straight seasons, will the Steelers post at least 11 victories in 2017?

According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Steelers’ win total has been set at 10.5 for 2017. Pittsburgh is also 14/1 to win the Super Bowl, which puts the Steelers among the true contenders, and is 11/2 to win the AFC Conference Championship. Finally, the Steelers are 1/3 favorites to win the AFC North Division.

This offseason, the Steelers signed former Jaguars defensive end Tyson Alualu to a two-year, $6 million contract and also added cornerback Coty Sensabaugh for two years at $2.6 million. The team took a one-year flier on former Kansas City running back Knile Davis as well.

In the draft, the Steelers added a pass-rusher in Wisconsin’s T.J. Watt, the younger brother of Texans’ defensive end J.J. Watt. In the second, Pittsburgh selected dynamic receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster of USC. In the third, the Steelers had two picks and used those selections on Tennessee cornerback Cameron Sutton and Pitt running back James Conner.

OUR PREDICTION: The Steelers’ 10.5 total is high but they’re absolutely loaded with offensive talent thanks to Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell, plus get Martavis Bryant back after he missed all of last season. Their defense also improved in the second half last season and with the Ravens likely to take yet another step back, the Steelers no longer play in one of the toughest divisions in football. Eleven wins is a lot, but the Steelers should get there.
