49ers vs. Bears Odds: Will Alshon Jeffery light up San Fran’s secondary?

Jeffery in for a big day?

Alshon Jeffery has to be excited about today as his Chicago Bears take on the San Francisco 49ers in an NFC collision.

View NFL Odds

According to oddsmakers at BetDSI, the Bears are favored at home today, as they are getting odds of -6.5 points against the 49ers. The over/under total for the contest has been set at 43 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET on FOX.

The 49ers (3-8, 5-6 ATS) have been a mess this season, going 0-5 in road games with a defense that is a far cry from what it was a year ago. San Francisco is 29th in total defense right now, allowing 397.9 yards per game. That is probably a good sign for Jeffery and the Bears (5-6, 7-4 ATS), who are looking to improve on their 20th-ranked offense.

Jeffery has had somewhat of a lackluster season, but that is mostly due to injury. He has appeared in six games and has 43 receptions for 605 yards with two touchdowns. For today’s game, he has an over/under of 6 receptions and 80.5 receiving yards. Of the six games he has played in this season, Jeffrey has had over 80 yards in four games and had 78 in another. He has had at least seven receptions in four games as well. Jeffery should have good numbers against the 49ers, as they have allowed 2,111 yards to receivers and a total of 11 touchdowns to receivers. San Francisco has allowed at least 81 yards to a receiver in three of its last four games.
