ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Deebo Samuel (questionable, core) will return for Week 14 vs. the Bengals. Samuel got in only one limited practice this week, but he will return to the 49ers’ receiver corps and backfield after missing just one game. Samuel was injured on a carry two weeks ago when he tried to stop his own momentum in the red zone, but the 49ers figure to go right back to his multi-dimensional usage with Elijah Mitchell (concussion) on the shelf. Perhaps Samuel will have his snaps dialed back ever so slightly, but he can be trusted as a WR1. His return dings Brandon Aiyuk’s WR2 outlook and will lower George Kittle’s targets floor after Kittle’s Week 13 outburst in Samuel’s absence.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Joe Mixon (illness) is expected to play in Week 14 against the 49ers. Mixon didn’t practice all week but non-COVID illnesses are typically easy to bounce back from. As long as he’s feeling good, Mixon is in line for another RB1 outing. He has scored in nine consecutive games and is averaging 25.7 carries per game since the Bengals’ bye week. Even against a tough San Francisco defense, fantasy managers can trust Mixon for elite fantasy numbers.
NFL Week 14 Betting Prediction
The road team is 3-1-1 against the spread in the last five meetings between these two teams, while the 49ers are 3-1-1 against the number in the last five meetings against the Bengals.
