San Francisco 49ers DFS Spin
Deebo Samuel caught 3-of-4 targets for 44 yards in San Francisco’s Divisional Round win over the Packers, adding 10 carries for 39 yards. Deebo spent several minutes down on the turf in this one. He took a tough hit on a carry in the third quarter and fell down. Then after his final carry of the game, where he got nine yards on third-and-7 to put San Francisco inside the Green Bay 30 with 20 seconds left in the game, he hobbled off the field with one foot up. Asked about his status post-game, Samuel said he was fine. Oh, he also took a kickoff return 45 yards. The heart and soul of the 49ers will be heavily played in Championship Round DFS as long as he’s healthy.
Los Angeles Rams DFS Spin
Matthew Stafford completed 28-of-38 passes for 366 yards and two touchdowns in the Rams’ 30-27, Divisional Round win over the Bucs. Stafford added a sneak at the one-yard line for another touchdown. The Rams were humming through the quarters. They peaked at a 27-3 and the game looked all but over. Then, with Tom Brady beginning to cook, the offense choked away six consecutive drives. The disastrous stall was hardly Stafford’s fault. Three of the drives ended in fumbles in fumbles, one of which was a snap that went sailing over an unware Stafford’s head. McVay also took the air out of the ball, leaving it up to his struggling rushing attack to bring home the win. Tied with less than a minute left, the offense finally came back to life. Stafford completed two passes for 64 yards to set up a game-winning field goal. It was one of the most chaotic games of all time but Stafford and the Rams ultimately came out on top. Facing the 49ers for the NFC title, Stafford will look to break the Rams’ streak of six straight losses to San Francisco.
