San Francisco 49ers DFS Spin

George Kittle caught 3-of-6 targets for 19 yards in the 49ers’ Week 1 win over the Steelers. Kittle converted a fourth down on the 49ers’ tone-setting opening drive but otherwise took a backseat to Brandon Aiyuk in the passing game. He was the recipient of an end zone target that ended up going in the books as a dead play due to penalty. He didn’t catch the target, anyways. He thankfully appeared to avoid setbacks with his groin issue. By now, fantasy managers know the Kittle deal. His weekly ceiling is as high as any tight end’s in football, but the floor is so frustratingly low. He gets the Rams for Week 2.

Los Angeles Rams DFS Spin

Rams coach Sean McVay said the team hopes WR Cooper Kupp (hamstring, IR) can return in Week 5. “I want to be careful to say, but the reason that we put him on IR was so that if it’s going to be those four weeks then we can take him off of the IR and be available for that fifth week.” Kupp will miss the next three weeks before he’s eligible to come off IR. With the star receiver recovering from multiple hamstring strains this preseason, returning in Week 5 is far from set in stone for Kupp.

49ers vs. Rams Prediction:

I’m taking the points today in L.A. I was all set to back the Niners today after they not only dismantled the Steelers in Pittsburgh last Sunday, but also because the Rams shocked the betting public last week with their upset of the Seahawks. The Rams match up well versus the Seahawks, but not so much against the Niners, so I was prepared to lay a few points with San Francisco in Week 2. That said, 7.5? That’s a too many points in a divisional game and a matchup where both coaching staffs are familiar with the other. Matthew Stafford was sharp in Week 2 and he’ll need to be even sharper today, but he’s capable of keeping the Rams in this one tonight.

NFL WEEK 2 PREDICTION: LOS ANGELES RAMS +7.5
