PITTSBURGH: The Steelers dropped their second consecutive game last Sunday when they fell 20-14 to the Browns in Cleveland. Charlie Batch completed 20-of-34 passes for zero touchdowns and three interceptions in the loss, while Jonathan Dwyer was held to 19 yards on nine carries. Emmaunel Sanders also led the team in receiving with five catches for 75 yards, while Heath Miller hauled in six passes for 63 yards. The loss dropped Pittsburgh’s season record to 6-5 and since they failed to cover as a 1-point road favorite, they’re now 4-6-1 against the spread in 2012.
BALTIMORE: The Ravens won their fourth game in a row last Sunday when they came from behind to beat the Chargers in overtime, 16-13. Joe Flacco completed 30-0f-51 passes for 355 yards with one touchdown and no interception, while Torrey Smith led the team in receiving with seven catches for 144 yards. Ray Rice also finished with 97 yards rushing on 22 carries but his biggest play came on a 29-yard screen pass on 4th-and-29 late in the fourth quarter to set up a game-tying field goal. Rice caught 8 passes for 67 yards on the day, including that 29-yard scamper. The Ravens successfully covered as a 1-point road favorite and are now 3-0-1 against the spread in their lat four games. They’re also 9-2 on the season and 5-5-1 ATS in 2012.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Ravens are 3-point favorites versus the Steelers, while the over/under total is currently unavilable. Pittsburgh is 6-5 overall and 2-4 on the road, while Baltimore is 9-2 overall and 5-0 at home.
