HOUSTON: The Texans have now won five in a row after beating the Lions 34-31 on Thanksgiving Day. Matt Schaub completed 29-of-48 passes for 315 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while Arian Foster rushed 20 times for 102 yards and two scores. Andre Johnson also added nine receptions for 188 yards, while Owen Daniels caught four passes for 20 yards and a touchdown. The win lifts Houston’s record to 10-1 overall and 7-4 against the spread after it failed to cover as a 3.5-point favorite last week. This was the second time in two weeks that the Texans have failed to cover the number.
TENNESSEE: The Titans lost for the third time in their last four games last Sunday when the Titans beat them, 24-19. Jake Locker completed 23-of-40 passes for 261 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, while Chris Johnson rushed 21 times for 80 yards. Nate Washington led the team in receiving with four catches and 54 yards, while Kendall Wright caught five passes for 48 yards. It was the third time that Tennessee failed to cover the spread in its last four games, and is now 4-7 against the spread. The Titans are also 4-7 overall and have seen their playoff hopes evaporate since their 1-4 start.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Titans are 6-point favorites versus the Texans, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 47 points. Houston is 10-1 overall and 5-0 on the road, while Tennessee is 4-7 overall and 2-3 at home.
TRENDS: The over is 6-0 in the last six meetings between these two teams in Tennessee and 4-0 in the last four meetings overall. The Texans are also 3-1-1 against the spread in their last five games versus the Titans and the home team is 3-1-1 ATS in the last five meetings.
