Cardinals vs. Chiefs Total Prediction
The Kansas City Chiefs continue to score at will but they’ll face the offensively-challenged Arizona Cardinals at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. What is the best play for over/under bettors in this matchup?
Game Snapshot
267 Arizona Cardinals at 268 Kansas City Chiefs
1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, November 11
Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri
Public Betting Trends
According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Chiefs are 16.5-point favorites to beat the Cardinals. The total, meanwhile, sits at 49.5 points. As of this writing, 67% of the public betting tickets are on the Chiefs to cover the point spread.
Arizona Cardinals
Josh Rosen completed 23-of-40 passes for 252 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Cardinals’ Week 8 win over the 49ers. Rosen’s passing yards and attempts both qualified as season-highs, an encouraging sign in OC Byron Leftwich’s new offensive scheme. Rosen fired the game-winner with just 0:34 left over the middle to fellow rookie Christian Kirk (3/42/1), helping secure the Cardinals’ second win of the season. With Larry Fitzgerald (8/102/1) additionally honed in on throughout the afternoon, there’s suddenly reason to believe in Rosen and the Cardinals’ passing attack as a whole. The offense will get its second test in Kansas City following the team’s Week 9 bye.
Kansas City Chiefs
Sammy Watkins (foot) is questionable for Week 10 against the Cardinals. Watkins returned to practice on Friday (albeit on limited participation), suddenly making it possible he suits up. If active, he’ll be a boom-bust WR3/FLEX in his usual role. Chris Conley would need to be downgraded as he’ll be on the field, but used sparingly.
NFL Betting Trends
Arizona
The over is 13-6-1 in the Cardinals’ last 20 games played in November and 15-6 in their last 21 road games.
Kansas City
The under is 6-2 in the Chiefs’ last eight games played in November.
Prediction
As previously noted, the Chiefs can score on any opponent but I don’t trust the Cardinals to pull their weight. Arizona is a mess offensively right now with a rookie under center and a rookie in Byron Leftwich calling plays. The Chiefs have also played better defensively of late and the under is 47-20-1 in the Chiefs’ last 68 home games. With temperatures dropping in the Midwest, I don’t see this game turning into a shootout on Sunday.
NFL Week 10 Prediction: Cardinals/Chiefs under 49.5
