Baltimore Ravens
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo says that the Ravens plan to start Lamar Jackson in Week 13 against the Falcons. Joe Flacco (hip) has not be cleared to play yet, so the Ravens are planning on letting Jackson make his third NFL start. Garafolo does mention that Flacco could still practice this week, so it’s unclear if the Ravens don’t think there is enough time for Flacco to get ready or if the Ravens are ready for Jackson to be the future. In Jackson’s two starts, the dual-threat quarterback has averaged 164 passing yards and 95 rushing yards with one touchdown per game. Jackson will be in the QB1 conversation against the Falcons.
Atlanta Falcons
Matt Ryan completed 35-of-47 passes for 377 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception in the Falcons’ Week 12 loss to the Saints. Ryan crushed between the 20’s, averaging 8.0 YPA and completing 74.4% of his passes throughout the evening. The story of the night was still Atlanta’s dreadful lack of urgency and play-calling as New Orleans’ defense dominated with six sacks, five forced fumbles, and just 26 yards on the ground. To sum it all up, just know Ryan comically led the Falcons with 16 rushing yards. Atlanta’s three lost fumbles in the red zone didn’t help matters, either. Now sitting at 4-7, it wouldn’t be shocking to hear OC Steve Sarkisian’s name thrown around as a potential free agent at the end of the season. Despite his continued fantasy production, Ryan will be a mid-tier QB1 in Week 13 against Baltimore’s nightmarish secondary.

Prediction
The Falcons offensive line has been horrendous over the team’s last three games and it has zapped Atlanta’s explosiveness offensively. Matt Ryan has turned into a human punching bag and the team has no running game, so the Falcons are one-dimensional right now. On the other side, the Ravens clearly don’t trust Jackson to put the ball in the air right now but they should be able to move the ball effectively on the ground. With the clock moving constantly, I see the combined score falling under the total.
