Chicago Bears DFS Spin
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports “several teams believe the Bears will end up releasing Chase Claypool.” Claypool was a healthy scratch in Week 4 after telling reports he wasn’t being used to his full potential by the Bears coaching staff. He has already been listed as out for Week 5 as well. The Bears are reportedly seeking a late-round pick for Claypool on the trade market, but it’s hard to imagine there will be any takers. A team will take a flyer on him once he is cut, but it doesn’t look like Chicago will recoup anything in this fiasco of a maneuverer that cost them the 32nd-overall pick.
Washington Commanders DFS Spin
Curtis Samuel (quad) was removed from the Week 5 injury report and will play against the Bears. Samuel was estimated as a DNP for Washington’s first practice of the week, a walkthrough on Monday. He returned to practice the following day and is good to go for Week 5. Samuel is second on the Commanders in receptions and receiving yards through four games. He will look to stay in the fantasy WR4 conversation versus a weak Chicago defense this week.

Bears vs. Commanders Prediction:
Take Washington. The Bears have lost 14 straight games dating back to last season, which is the longest streak in team history and second longest in the NFL in the last five seasons. They’ve also allowed 25-plus points in each of their 14 losses during that streak, which is the most consecutive games giving up 25 or more points in NFL history. Justin Fields also has 12 straight losses as a starter, which is the longest streak by a Bears quarterback in the Super Bowl era. This team finds ways to lose – no need to back them tonight as a road underdog.
