Chicago Bears DFS Spin
Bears quarterback Justin Fields led the Bears to a resounding 33-14 road win over the New England Patriots this past Monday night and it marked a shift in the Bears’ offensive playcalling. Fields posted his second-highest rushing total of the season (82 yards), his third-best completion percentage (61.9%), and his second-best QBR (57.4).
Dallas is better against the pass than the run as they’re 17th in opponent’s average yards per rush attempt and 3rd in opponent yards per pass attempt. The Bears may look to keep it on the ground with Justin Fields and running backs Khalil Herbert and David Montgomery getting the bulk of the offensive touches. It’s worth noting that the Giants’ Daniel Jones ran for 79 yards on 8 carries in the Giants’ Week 3 loss to the Cowboys. Justin Fields may have similar success running the ball and could be a nice value play if you’re looking to save on a quarterback.
Dallas Cowboys DFS Spin
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott returned to the lineup for Dallas last week and threw for 207 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys’ 24-6 home win over Detroit. You can deploy Cowboys wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Noah Brown with confidence against a middling Bears pass defense that’s allowing 6.5 yards per pass attempt, which ranks 14th in the league.
The Bears are worse against the run than they are against the pass, permitting 4.7 yards per rush attempt, which ranks 24th in the league. I’d consider using Cowboys running back Tony Pollard, as he received 12 carries last weekend against the Lions with both running back healthy. Dallas starting running back Ezekiel Elliott is reportedly not going to be able to play this weekend. Pollard is the more explosive player between the two and more of a factor in the receiving game. Pollard should get the bulk of the running back touches with Elliott out against Chicago on Sunday.
Bears vs. Cowboys Betting Trends
Chicago is 2-11 ATS in their last 13 road games against a team with a winning home record.
Chicago is 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing fewer than 250 total yards in their previous game.
Dallas is 11-1 ATS in their last 12 games against teams with a losing record.
Dallas is 17-5 ATS in their last 22 games against the NFC.
Bears vs. Cowboys Prediction:
Everyone seems excited about the Chicago Bears after their stunning win over the Patriots on Monday Night Football this past week. It’s understandable. But the Patriots turned the ball over 4 times, something that Dallas doesn’t often do. The Cowboys are 2nd in the NFL with an average turnover margin of +0.9. Dallas is also 5th in the NFL with an average score differential of +4.3. If all that wasn’t enough, Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy is 19-7 in his career against the Chicago Bears dating back to his days with the Packers. I think Dallas shows why they’re the superior team in this contest and wins decisively over the Bears, who are playing on a short week.
