Chicago Bears DFS Spin
Justin Fields completed 15-of-23 attempts for 119 yards and a touchdown in the Bears’ 35-13, Week 16 loss to the Bills, adding seven rushes for 11 yards. It was Fields’ second lowest rush attempt total of the season. Chicago’s game plan seemed to include Fields operating as a pocket passer in frigid, windy conditions against one of the NFL’s best secondaries. Curious, indeed. Fields’ touchdown came on a red zone lob to Dante Pettis in the corner of the end zone in the second quarter. He averaged a meager 5.2 yards per attempt, constantly checking down short of the sticks on third and fourth down as the Bears chased points in the second half. Fields has a far softer matchup in Week 17 against Detroit. He had 147 rushing yards and two scores on the ground against the Lions in Week 10.
Detroit Lions DFS Spin
Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 7-of-13 targets for 76 yards in the Lions ‘ Week 16 loss to the Panthers. It’s a repeat of last week, when St. Brown had 76 yards on 10 catches in a win over the Jets. St. Brown continued to lead Detroit in targets but finished with fewer yards than D.J. Chark (4/108/0). While he’s cooled off the last few weeks, St. Brown has had one of the higher floors in the league, going over 50 yards in nine straight. The Lions will look to keep their playoff chances alive with a matchup vs Chicago in Week 17.
