Chicago Bears

The Bears are now 0-2 since firing their OC and promoting Thomas Brown into the position. That said, they are playing better, scoring 19 and 27 points in those games. On Sunday the Bears lost 30-27 to the Vikings. Chicago was down 24-10 late in the 3rd quarter and 27-16 before they scored a touchdown with 22 seconds left. A 2 point conversion and an onside kick recovery set up for a game tying field goal before the Vikings won on a field goal in overtime. Caleb Williams completed 32 of 47 pass attempts for 340 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Detroit Lions

The Lions cruised to another win after defeating the Colts 24-6. All three touchdowns came on the ground with Jahmyr Gibbs picking up two and David Montgomery scoring once. Montgomery left the game with a shoulder injury and is currently questionable to play on Thursday. However he is listed as a full participant for Wednesday’s walk through practice. Amon-Ra St. Brown is also listed as questionable but logged a full participation on Wednesday. Blind side blocker Taylor Decker didn’t fare as well as he has been ruled out. On the defensive side of the ball, cornerback Carlton Davis III has been ruled out. Also, punt returner Kalif Raymond hit the IR, and Amon-Ra is listed as the backup.

Chicago is 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games

Chicago is 0-3-1 ATS in their 4 road games this season

Detroit is 0-3 SU in their last 3 Thanksgiving day games under Dan Campbell

Detroit is 2-1 ATS in their last 3 Thanksgiving Day games under Dan Campbell

Bears vs. Lions Prediction:

Take the Lions to cover the 9.5 points. Chicago was trailing by 14 and 11 against the Vikings and managed to get back in the game. The Lions don’t let teams get back in the game. They have won 6 of their last 8 games by double digits. In their last 3 home games, Detroit has scored 52, 52, and 42 points. The defense also hasn’t allowed a touchdown in 10 straight quarters. Chicago hasn’t covered on the road all season and Detroit is 4-1 ATS at home. The Bears are also not good against the run. They rank 26th in the NFL allowing 4.8 yards per carry. Last week Aaron Jones hit his season high with 106 rush yards. On top of that, the Bears have lost two heartbreakers in a row so vibes probably aren’t the highest. On the other side, the Lions will look to make a statement and win big on Turkey Day.

Bears vs. Lions Prediction: Lions -9.5
