Bears vs. Vikings Odds: Will Adrian Peterson score a rushing touchdown?

Will Peterson get a TD?

Adrian Peterson may put up some big yards against the Chicago Bears but can he find the end zone for the Minnesota Vikings in today’s contest?

View NFL Odds

According to oddsmakers at MyBookie.ag, Minnesota is favored at home in this game, as the Vikings are getting odds of -5.5 points against the Bears. The over/under total for the game has been set at 43 points. These two meet today at 1PM ET and the game airs live on FOX.

Peterson is second in the NFL in rushing right now, only because Doug Martin has already played. He has run for 1,251 yards this season for the Vikings (5-8, 7-6 ATS) and is leading in the NFL at 96.2 yards per game. Peterson has also scored nine rushing touchdowns this year, but that stat may be tough to add to today against the Bears (8-5, 10-3 ATS). While Chicago has allowed 1,308 yards to running backs this season, the Bears have only given up five rushing touchdowns, which ranks sixth in the NFL for fewest.

Surprisingly, the Bears have given up a rushing touchdown to a back in two straight games. According to oddsmakers, Peterson has been given odds of -225 to score a touchdown in today’s game and he also has a money line of +350 to score the first touchdown. When Peterson took on the Vikings in Chicago back on Nov. 1, he rushed for 103 yards on 20 carries, but didn’t score a touchdown. He has found the end zone in seven of Minnesota’s games this season.
