Cincinnati Bengals DFS Spin
Joe Burrow completed 24-of-36 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals’ Week 2 loss to the Cowboys, adding four rushes for 26 yards. The Bengals once again ran a highly predictable offense, as head coach Zac Taylor’s play calling fooled no one on the Dallas side. The team’s offensive line signings have not panned out after two regular season games; Burrow has been sacked 11 times after he absorbed a half dozen sacks on Sunday. The Bengals fall to 0-2 after their miraculous run to the Super Bowl in 2021, and Burrow will be left seeking answers in a talent-laden Cincy offense that looks nothing like it did during the second half of last season. Burrow figures to be a shaky high-end QB2 option in Week 3 against the Jets.
New York Jets DFS Spin
Jets beat writer Connor Hughes reports Joe Flacco is expected to start in the Jets’ Week 3 matchup against the Bengals. Hughes notes that Zach Wilson is progressing well in his recovery, but that the Jets, “will not play him until he’s 110%.” Through two games, Flacco has thrown for 616 yards, five touchdowns and one interception while completing 61.2% of his passes. After leading a comeback win in Week 2 against the Browns, he will look to unseat the Bengals in Week 3 to push the Jets to 2-1 to start the season. Negative game scripts have allowed Flacco to throw 103 times through the first two games. Despite this, he’s nothing more than a desperation play against the Bengals.
