Can Derrick Henry reach pay dirt against the Bengals twice tonight? Will Ja’Marr Chase go off against the Ravens like he did in Week 5? Is tonight a good time to fade Chase Brown following his productive game against the Raiders last Sunday? Read on for our Bengals vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay Prediction.
MNF Same Game Parlay Recap
My three leg parlay for the Bucs-Chiefs Monday Night Football matchup consisted of Patrick Mahomes going over 18.5 rushing yards, the Chiefs scoring over 27.5 points and Travis Kelce catching over 5.5 receptions. Kelce compiled 11 receptions, so that leg hit easily. While I needed a last-second Bucs’ touchdown and overtime, the Chiefs’ team total also hit but Mahomes rushed only twice for nine yards. Thus, we came up one leg short on MNF.
Bengals vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay Prediction: Derrick Henry 2+ Touchdowns
Let’s get nutty right off the bat. When these two teams played in Week 5, Henry gained 96 yards and a touchdown. That said, 51 of those 96 yards came on one run in overtime. Otherwise, Cincinnati did a good job bottling up Henry. How? They led virtually the entire game before collapsing in the end. Thus, I don’t want to mess with Henry’s 89.5-yard rushing total.
What about a Henry Anytime Touchdown? Seeing as how he has a touchdown in every game this season that would be a sound play. That said, Henry’s odds to score an Anytime Touchdown are -270. There’s no value for us in that prop. That’s why I’m rolling the dice on Henry reaching pay dirt twice.
Henry has played in nine games this season for the Ravens. He has scored multiple touchdowns (rushing or receiving) in four of those games. One of those multi-touchdown performances came last Sunday in Baltimore’s 41-10 win over the Broncos.
Lamar Jackson is dealing with a knee injury that limited him to four yards rushing last week versus Denver. Thus, I don’t think Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken will want to force the issue tonight with the team playing on a short week of rest. Monken and John Harbaugh saw what happened when the Bengals set the pace in Week 5 and they’ll likely want to avoid that by leaning on Henry tonight. Assuming the Ravens move the ball well, we should have multiple cracks with Henry from scoring range.
Bengals vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay Prediction: Chase Brown under 85.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
This play might not add up for football fans that saw Brown go off against the Raiders last week. The Bengals’ starting running back rushed 27 times for 120 yards and caught five passes for 37 additional yards as the team’s workhorse back. With Zack Moss out due to injury and the newly acquired Khalil Herbert (Bears) needing time to get up to speed, Brown is set for more workhorse duty tonight in Baltimore.
That said, the Ravens held Brown to 46 yards on 12 carries in their Week 5 matchup versus the Bengals in Cincinnati. Even though Brown caught three passes against Baltimore in that game, he gained just eight yards. Baltimore’s run defense is excellent. Opponents have been able to throw on the Ravens, but even if Brown does some damage in the receiving game, I don’t see how he makes up enough ground to get over this number. He certainly won’t have much room on the ground.
Bengals vs. Ravens Same Game Parlay Prediction: Ja’Marr Chase over 82.5 Receiving Yards
I wanted to take the over on Chase’s receptions but Fanduel Sportsbook juiced the number all the way up to -168. No thanks.
That said, Tee Higgins is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game, which means Chase is in line for a lot of volume against one of the worst pass defenses in the league. The Ravens have been torched by opposing receivers all season, which includes Chase back in Week 5. The receiver saw 12 targets in that game, caught 10 of those targets and turned them into 193 yards and two touchdowns.
Chase might not gain 193 yards again tonight, but we only need 83 to hit this leg of our parlay. With Higgins out and the Bengals potentially trailing, I feel confident Chase can have another big night.
Bengals vs. Ravens SGP Odds: +755
