NFL Week 15 Predictions: Bengals vs. Vikings to Fall Under Total? 12/14/17 NFL Week 15 Predictions: Bengals vs. Vikings to Fall Under Total? 12/14/17

Bengals vs. Vikings Prediction

Following an ugly loss at home to the Bears last Sunday, will the Bengals rebound to at least cover the spread versus the Vikings today at 1:00 p.m. ET?

Who Oddsmakers Like: Minnesota. According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Vikings are 11-point home favorites to beat the Bengals, who opened as a 10.5-point road underdog earlier in the week. As for the total, the number currently sits at 42 points after hitting the board at 41.

Who the Public Likes: As of Sunday morning, 72% of the betting tickets are on the Vikings to cover the spread but the money is split at 50-50.

Who the Trends Like: Minnesota. The favorite is 4-0 against the spread in the last four meetings between these two teams while the home squad has covered in five straight meetings.

Who We Like: Minnesota. The Vikings had won eight straight games before last week’s setback in Charlotte. That said, that was their third consecutive road game and they played like they weren’t focused. That shouldn’t be the case today when they return home to face a Bengals team that clearly gave up last week in their 33-7 loss to the Bears. Cincinnati has been out-gained in eight straight games and that loss to Pittsburgh on Monday night two weeks ago took a toll both physically and mentally.

The Vikings, meanwhile, have allowed 12.8 points per game in their last five home contests and you know they’ll be focused with a first-round bye up for grabs still in the NFC. I don’t see how Andy Dalton and Co. move the ball against this stout Mike Zimmer defense.
