Bettors Split on NFC Title Game
After the Eagles upset a public favorite last weekend in the Divisional Round, public bettors are split on whether or not Philly will thrive in the dog role again this Sunday against the Vikings in the NFC Championship Game.
According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Eagles are 3.5-point home underdogs to beat the Vikings this weekend in Philadelphia. Some books list the line at 3 with extra juice (-120) on Minnesota, so make sure you’re always shopping around for the best price. Philadelphia opened as a 3.5-point home dog despite beating the Falcons 15-10 as a 2.5-point dog last Saturday.
The total, meanwhile, hit the board at 38 but was bet up slightly to 38.5. In the last four meetings between these two teams in Philadelphia, the under is a perfect 4-0. In the last seven meetings overall between these two teams, the under is 5-2.

As previously mentioned, public bettors are split on this game. How split? As of Tuesday morning, 50% of betting tickets are on the Vikings to cover the 3.5 points and 50% of the betting tickets are on the Eagles. That said, the money is on Minnesota, although only slightly. As of this writing, 52% of the money for this game is on the Vikings.
The betting tickets and money is also split on the total, with 54% of the betting tickets on the over and 56% of the money on the under. This could indicate that public bettors will be taking the over come Sunday evening while wiseguys will be on the under, although it’s too early to tell.
In the last five meetings between these two teams, the underdog covered the spread four times. In the last eight meetings, the Vikings are just 2-6 against the spread against the Eagles and are just 1-4 at the betting window in their last five trips to Philadelphia.
