Bettors taking underdog Jets over Pats
It’s not often that public bettors fade the Patriots but that’s exactly what they’re doing today by taking the Jets at 1:00PM ET on Sunday.
Our NFL Public Betting page shows that 53% of public bettors are currently backing the Jets, who are 7.5-point underdogs to the Patriots today. New York is 4-0 against the spread in its last four games versus New England and 4-1 ATS in its last five games in Foxboro. The underdog is also 4-0 at the betting window in the last four meetings between these two teams, while the road squad has covered in five of the last seven meetings.
While public bettors are backing the underdog in Foxboro, they’re taking the favorite in Nashville. The most bet on team in Week 7 is the Atlanta Falcons, who are 6-point road favorites versus the Titans according to oddsmakers from online sports book BetDSI. The Falcons, who have drawn a whopping 90% of public bets, opened as 3.5-point favorites but with Zach Mettenberger set to start for starting quarterback Marcus Mariota, the line jumped a full 2.5 points.
One other team that is receiving plenty of public backing is the Colts, who are 4.5-point favorites versus the Saints. Of the current wagers placed on this game, 72% of public bettors are currently backing Indianapolis.
