Sports Insights trackers the wagering activity at the largest online sports books and compiles betting percentages that represent the actual wagers placed on each NFL game. As you can see from our NFL Public Betting page, 76% of tickets are currently on the Patriots to cover against the Broncos in the AFC Championship Game, while 69% of wagers are on the Panthers to cover versus the Cardinals in the NFC title matchup.

David Purdum of ESPN.com writes that the AFC title game matchup has been a tug-of-war between public money flowing in on the Patriots and sharp money buying back the underdog Broncos.

The MGM made the jump to New England -3.5 (-115) Thursday and immediately took sharp action on the Broncos. But for every one bet on Denver there were still three on New England, MGM sportsbook assistant manager Jeff Stoneback said.

“Since we went to -3.5, it’s been very balanced moneywise,” Stoneback said Saturday morning. “We have a difference of less than $10,000 between the teams.

According to oddsmakers from online sports book RealBet.eu, the Patriots are 3-point favorites versus the Broncos at 3:05PM ET and the Panthers are 3-point favorites versus the Cardinals at 6:40PM ET. The AFC title game’s over/under is currently 44.5, while the NFC Championship Game total sits at 47 points.
