Buffalo Bills DFS Spin
Buffalo has a few injury situations to monitor this week. Starting safety Jordan Poyer and starting linebacker Matt Milano both were held out of practice Wednesday. Poyer has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s game and is considered week-to-week at this time. Bills’ starting right tackle Spencer Brown was a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice, and like the two players mentioned above, is officially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game.
For your DFS lineups, I’d consider both Bills quarterback Josh Allen and wide receiver Stefon Diggs. There is some risk involved as the Jets are 5th in the NFL in yards allowed per pass attempt, but Allen and Diggs are matchup-proof. Diggs is 2nd in the NFL in receiving yards with 762, and tied for the NFL lead in touchdown catches with 7. Josh Allen is 3rd in the NFL in passing yards and ranks 2nd in the NFL in touchdown passes. Both players could be in for big weeks on Sunday.
New York Jets DFS Spin
Jets wide receiver Corey Davis missed last week’s game against New England with a knee injury. He didn’t practice this past Wednesday and has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s clash with the Bills. New York tight end C.J. Uzomah was limited in practice Wednesday and is questionable for this weekend’s game. If neither player can go, that should open up some opportunities for other Jets pass catchers.
Jets tight end Tyler Conklin had a big day against New England last weekend, hauling in 6 passes for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns. He might be a nice cost-effective option at tight end this weekend. New York’s Garrett Wilson had one of his better games of the season at home against the Pats on Sunday, catching 6 passes for 115 yards. He should be in for a big target share this weekend with Corey Davis ruled out for Sunday. If Jets QB Zach Wilson can limit turnovers against the Bills, the Jets pass catchers might put up numbers again, and New York will have a shot at covering this game.
Bills vs. Jets Betting Trends
Buffalo is 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 games in Week 9.
New York is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games against a team with a winning road record.
New York is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an outright loss.
The under is 22-8 in Buffalo’s last 30 games on field turf.
Bills vs. Jets Prediction:
I think this line is a bit of an overreaction to the Jets’ home loss to New England last weekend. Jets QB Zach Wilson wasn’t great in that game, tossing 3 costly interceptions. He did throw for 355 and 2 touchdowns on 8.7 yards per attempt, however. I think the Jets should be able to move the ball relatively well against Buffalo as newly acquired running back James Robinson gets better integrated into the offense. I think 11.5 points is a lot to give a feisty team at home that may have playoff aspirations. I think the Jets keep it close in a low-scoring affair on Sunday.
