The Bills and Panthers will meet for their respective preseason finales on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. ET in Charlotte, NC. Is 6.5 too much to lay with the new-look Panthers or will the home favorites cover that number?

Buffalo Bills DFS Spin
Zack Moss rushed four times for 19 yards and two touchdowns in the Bills’ second preseason game Saturday. Moss capitalized on a pair of one-yard touchdown plunges in the second quarter. By all accounts, the third-year back has had a great summer and solidified his role as part of the Bills’ three-man backfield that now includes Devin Singletary, Moss, and rookie James Cook. Moss is the best short-yardage and goal-line runner on the team not named Josh Allen. With up to four guys getting carries in Buffalo, it’s hard to trust any of the running backs for fantasy.
Carolina Panthers DFS Spin
Baker Mayfield will start for the Panthers in Week 1 against the Browns. Mayfield officially beats out Sam Darnold for Carolina’s starting gig less than two months after joining the team. He’ll now go against his former mates from Cleveland in what should be an intriguing — and emotionally charged — matchup. The Browns are paying Mayfield $10.5 million this season. Mayfield beating out Darnold, who was horrific in 2021 as Carolina’s starter, is hardly a shock. Beat writers have said for a month that Mayfield had the inside track to start Week 1. He still shouldn’t be drafted in 12-team formats, though he likely represents a marked upgrade for D.J. Moore and the rest of Carolina’s pass catchers.

Bills vs. Panthers Prediction:
This is a lot of points to lay in a preseason game – especially a preseason finale where there is sure to be a ton of backups in the second half. Players are fighting for the last few spots on respective rosters and like most preseason games, this one is sure to be sloppy late. Given the unpredictability of exhibition games, I’ll take the points and Buffalo.
