Will Courtland Sutton find the end zone when the Broncos visit the Chargers on Thursday Night Football? Read on for our Broncos vs. Chargers Same Game Parlay.
MNF Same Game Parlay Recap
I put together a same game parlay for each of the two Monday Night Football games. For the Falcons-Raiders matchup, I laid the 3.5 points with Atlanta in the first half, coupled with Brock Bowers over 19.5 for his longest reception and Ray-Ray McCloud III over 36.5 receiving yards. While the Falcons covered the first half spread and Bowers caught a 22-yard pass, unfortunately McCloud only had one catch for 14 yards. He was targeted three times total, but the now benched Kirk Cousins misfired on two of those passes so we fell one leg short.
As for the Bears-Vikings SGP, I had Minnesota over 13.5 points in the first half, Sam Darnold over 253.5 passing yards and Caleb Williams over 22.5 rushing yards. The Vikings only had 13 points in the first half, Darnold finished with only 231 passing yards and Williams finished with just three rushing yards. So that parlay was a total bust.
Broncos vs. Chargers Same Game Parlay: Denver Broncos +126
Why the Broncos? I think they’re the better team right now. Let’s go back to Week 12. The Chargers hosted the Ravens on Sunday Night Football and while the final score was 30-23, Baltimore took control of that game in the second half. A week later, the Chargers beat the Falcons 17-13 but that win was aided by Kirk Cousins gifting L.A. four interceptions, which included a pick-six. The Chargers didn’t score an offensive touchdown in that game. Then the Bolts fell short in Kansas City (19-17) and was blown out by the Bucs 40-17 last weekend.
As for the Broncos, Bo Nix did not play well versus the Colts last week but the Denver defense bailed the team out in its 31-13 victory. While turnovers have been a big problem with Nix over the past two weeks, the bottom line is that the Broncos have won four straight overall and four straight against the spread. Their defense is legit and again, I think they’re the better team tonight.
Broncos vs. Chargers Same Game Parlay: Chargers under 22.5 (-116)
Ever since J.K. Dobbins went on injured reserve, the Chargers offense has suffered. They’ve scored 17 points in three consecutive games. Justin Herbert has been beat up and despite having quality players upfront, that unit is struggling. So with no running game to lean on and a lack of quality options in the passing game (the Chargers weapons are fine, but still below average compared to the rest of the league), this entire offense has suffered.
The Chargers haven’t scored over 22.5 points since they scored exactly 23 against the Ravens on November 25.
Broncos vs. Chargers Same Game Parlay: Courtland Sutton Anytime Touchdown (+165)
Sutton only caught three-of-nine targets for 32 yards last Sunday against the Colts, but one of those was a 20-yard touchdown. That was his sixth receiving touchdown of the year. When these two teams played in Week 6, Sutton caught four-of-six targets for 53 yards and a touchdown. I’ll roll the dice that he finds the end zone again tonight.
