Denver Broncos DFS Spin
Drew Lock completed 25-of-48 passes for 313 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the Broncos’ Week 9 loss to the Falcons, seven rushes for 47 yards and a touchdown. Lock set a career-high in passing yards but it was largely due to him also setting a career-high in pass attempts. He still averaged just 6.5 yards per attempted and missed on a number of crucial throws. Lock could have had another score but he missed an open Tim Patrick in the end zone. It goes down as an impressive fantasy outing but Lock ultimately did little to improve Denver’s odds of winning. Lock gets the Raiders defense next week so he should still be a viable 2QB and Superflex starter but is best left on the waiver wire in standard leagues.
Las Vegas Raiders DFS Spin
Derek Carr completed just 13-of-23 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns in the Raiders’ 31-26, Week 9 win over the Chargers. This is just like the Raiders prefer to do things – hide Carr and lean on the rushing attack to propel them to victory. Over the last two weeks, both wins for Vegas, Carr has totaled 28 completions. His two touchdowns in this one went to Carr-favorites Nelson Agholor and Darren Waller. Carr has failed to top 200 yards in back-to-back games and shouldn’t have to throw much next week in a home game with the Broncos where the Raiders should be favorites.
